Vertical multistage pump is a vertical single-suction multistage centrifugal pump. The pump shaft, impellers and guide vanes are installed vertically in series inside the pump body. Driven by a standard motor, it boosts liquid pressure step by step through each stage of impellers.
This pump adopts a space-saving vertical design, with advantages of small footprint, high efficiency, reliable performance, low vibration and long service life. It is mainly used for clean water and similar low-viscosity liquid delivery.
Common applications include: municipal water supply, high-rise building water pressurization, industrial circulating water system, boiler feed water, water treatment, fire-fighting water supply and agricultural water delivery.
1. Working Principle
The vertical multistage pump belongs to the rotodynamic pump family. When operating, the high-speed rotating impellers transfer kinetic energy to the liquid. The liquid flows through multi-stage impellers and diffusers in sequence, and its pressure is continuously increased stage by stage to realize long-distance delivery and high-lift water supply. All flow components are arranged vertically, making the overall layout neat and reasonable.
