Low speed submersible mixers are ready for delivery to our foreign partner

1. Basic Introduction

Low speed submersible mixer, also known as low-speed propeller mixer, is a core underwater stirring and flow propulsion equipment widely applied in sewage treatment plants, biochemical pools, anaerobic & anoxic tanks, sludge storage tanks and industrial wastewater treatment facilities.

This device operates fully submerged under water. Driven by a low-speed, high-torque integrated motor, it rotates a large-diameter propeller at low rotational speed to push massive water volume horizontally. It creates uniform circulating flow without generating excessive shear force, which protects activated sludge flocs from fragmentation.

2. Core Structural Composition

Submersible Motor: Sealed waterproof three-phase asynchronous motor with high insulation grade, built-in overheat, leakage and overload protection sensors to ensure safe long-term underwater operation.

Gear Reducer: Precision helical gear reduction unit that converts high motor rotating speed into low output speed with strong torque, improving stirring efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

Impeller (Propeller): Large-diameter two-blade or three-blade propeller made of cast iron, stainless steel or polyurethane. Streamlined design minimizes water flow resistance and delivers stable, large-range pushing flow.

Mounting System: Consists of guide rail, lifting bracket and positioning fixture. It supports hoisting installation, easy maintenance and flexible depth adjustment without draining the pool.

Mechanical Seal: Double-layer independent mechanical seal structure, matched with anti-corrosion oil chamber, effectively preventing water infiltration into the motor cavity.

3. Key Performance Advantages

Low Rotation Speed & Large Flow Volume: Typical rotational speed ranges from 20–60 rpm. It forms large-scale horizontal circulating flow to eliminate dead zones inside biochemical tanks.

Low Shear Force: Gentle water flow avoids breaking sludge flocs, maintaining good sedimentation performance of activated sludge, ideal for nitrification, denitrification and phosphorus removal processes.

Energy Saving & High Efficiency: Low-speed high-torque design cuts power consumption significantly compared with high-speed mixers under the same water circulation demand.

Fully Submerged Installation: No noise pollution above water; compact structure saves floor space; stable operation with little vibration.

Strong Corrosion Resistance: Wetted parts adopt stainless steel or anti-corrosion coating, adapting to corrosive wastewater, industrial sewage and sludge medium.

Easy Maintenance: Hoistable mounting frame allows the mixer to be lifted out of the pool for inspection and repair without emptying the tank, greatly reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

4. Main Application Scenarios

Municipal wastewater treatment: Anoxic tank, anaerobic tank, aerobic nitrification tank, sludge digestion tank, sludge thickener

Industrial wastewater treatment: Printing & dyeing wastewater, chemical wastewater, food processing wastewater, papermaking wastewater

Water environment improvement: Landscape water circulation, river and lake sediment prevention, aquaculture water mixing

Other fields: Biochemical fermentation tanks, liquid manure storage pools, flocculation sedimentation tanks
