The working principle of filter belt type sewage dewatering machine mainly includes the following steps:
Sludge feeding and pretreatment
The water-containing sludge is transported to the sludge mixing tank through the sludge pump, and the coagulant is added for full mixing reaction. Flocculant is a high molecular polymer with the functions of bridge, net capture and adsorption of electrical neutralization, which helps to separate and dehydrate the sludge.

Gravity dewatering
The treated sludge flows into the mud distributor of the belt type sludge filter press, and the sludge is evenly distributed in the gravity dewatering area. Under the bidirectional drainage of the mud rake and the action of gravity, the sludge quickly removes free water as the dewatering filter belt moves. Since the gravity dewatering area is designed to be long, the sludge is dehydrated by gravity to the maximum extent here.

Wedge pre-pressing dewatering
The flipped sludge enters the super-long wedge pre-pressing dewatering area, slowly clamps the sludge unloaded from the gravity area, and forms a sandwich-like angle layer. The residual free water in the mud layer is further reduced by sequentially and slowly pre-increasing the pressure filtration.

Squeezing and dehydration
As the upper and lower filter belts slowly move forward, the distance between them gradually decreases, and the mud layer gradually hardens. By pre-pressing and dehydrating the large-diameter filter roller, a large amount of free water is removed, preparing for the mud cake to smoothly enter the squeezing and dehydration area. In the "S" pressing section, the sludge is sandwiched between the upper and lower filter cloths. After repeated squeezing by several squeezing rollers, most of the water remaining in the sludge is filtered out by the shear force of the upper and lower filter belts.

Mud cake collection and discharge
Finally, the dry mud cake is scraped off by a fiber scraper and transported to the sludge storage area by a belt conveyor or a shaftless screw conveyor.
